Our Objectives

P & P Plant Hire is a construction (Roads and Stormwater) and plant hire company. It was established by Philip de Kok in 1994 as a small plant hire company and has since grown into a formidable plant hire and construction business.

 

 

Philip worked at Komatsu for 15 years as a qualified earthmoving technician and this mechanical knowledge is a major asset to the Company in that he can keep the machines in Prime condition at all times.  In the 17 years P & P Plant Hire has employed 3 additional mechanics and 4 mechanic – assistants to add to the Tip-Top condition of our Plant and to ensure that any breakdowns will be dealt with fast so that our Client will not waste productivity due to machines standing with any mechanical or tyre problem.

 

 

P & P Plant is proud to have 50 full time employees and we feel like a big family sharing in the pride of P & P Plant Hire.  The following machines make part of our fleet:  Gallion Graders, 140G Cat Graders, Bomag Rollers, Dynapac Rollers, Case Rollers, Cat TLB’s, Cat Excavators, Merc / Nissan / Toyota Tippers and Watertrucks.  We also have bobcats and our own lowbed to transport the machines.

 

 

It is the company’s goal to complete a project as quickly as possible, but at the same time, deliver the best quality work .  In these financial times we want to ensure our Clients feel that they get their monies’ worth.  We as a company also firmly believe in present and future training and developing of our staff as well as temporal staff that we hire in for jobs.

 

 

The staff employed at P & P Plant Hire consists of long-term employees, whose skills have been developed over the years to ensure jobconsistency throughout projects.  P & P also beleives in developing and training of local residents at project sites to ensure future strenghthening of underdeveloped areas.

 

 

Our Clients are local farmers / developers, land owners wanting to clear their stands in order to build, other companies that doesn’t have their own Plant, and then Tenders that we / clients are rewarded by Municipalities and The Government.
